Following Rowland Homes' recent donation to Inspire Youth Zone, one of our team members has helped bring an extra touch of creativity and energy to the centre.

During a visit, Rowland Homes employee Paula Jackson spoke with the Youth Zone’s manager about their dance studio and mentioned her passion for Ballroom and Latin dancing. The idea quickly sparked excitement, with the team at Inspire expressing their enthusiasm for a live performance for the young people.

Paula, alongside her dance partner Bill from Reeders Dance Preston, volunteered their time to deliver a special evening of dance. The pair performed a range of routines including Waltz, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz, Jive and Rock & Roll, captivating the audience with their skill and energy.

Following the performance, Paula and Bill hosted an interactive workshop, giving groups of children the opportunity to learn some moves themselves and engage more closely with the dances they had just seen. To make the session even more engaging, the children took part in a fun Q&A, answering questions based on the performances.

The event was met with fantastic feedback from the young people, who described the experience as “great fun” and thoroughly enjoyed both watching and participating.

This initiative highlights Rowland Homes’ ongoing commitment to supporting local communities - not only through financial contributions, but also by encouraging employees to share their skills and passions to inspire young people.
