Rowland Homes team to tackle three peaks in aid of homelessness charity Emmaus Lancashire

A team of 25 staff from Rowland Homes will take on three peaks in the Lake District to raise funds for homelessness charity Emmaus Lancashire.

Fundraisers from the North West homebuilding firm, which has headquarters in Leyland, will climb Helvellyn alongside two further surrounding peaks in a tough test of endurance on Friday 19 June 2026.

Their efforts are in support of charity Emmaus Lancashire, which provides the foundation of a home and tailored packages of support for up to 50 people who have experienced homelessness.

People can develop skills and gain work experience at Emmaus Lancashire to rebuild their lives.

George Rowley, Managing Director of Rowland Homes, said: “As a company dedicated to building homes for people, supporting Emmaus Lancashire is a cause that is especially meaningful to us. By raising funds for this incredible charity, we hope to support their vital work helping people move away from homelessness and towards a more stable, positive future.”

Rowland Homes builds high-quality new homes and operates across nine sites in the Northwest, from Greater Manchester to Cumbria, building over 400 properties a year.

Stephen Buchanan, Chief Executive Officer of Emmaus Lancashire, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Rowland Homes for pledging their support to homelessness charity Emmaus Lancashire. It’s heart-warming to see a home builder committed to helping people who have experience of homelessness progress to homes of their own.

“Through Emmaus’ residential accommodation and tailored support, people are helped in Lancashire every day to live more fulfilled lives. Thank you to Rowland Homes and everyone for donating - and being part of this difference.”
