It’s official: Christmas is fast approaching! Here are some upcoming festive family events near our developments.
Royal Gardens, Bispham & Richmond Point, Lytham St Annes
Come and see Blackpool Tower & Promenade be transformed into a Winter Wonderland for Christmas By The Sea. With a skating rink, festive refreshments and rides, light installations and even snowfall, there’s something for everyone!
Near Christmas By The Sea is Santa’s Grotto in Coral Island. Tickets not only include meeting Father Christmas and a gift from his workshop, but also a festive goody bag filled with sweets, prize tickets, and a £5 playcard.
Riverside Place, Carnforth
From Wednesday 10th December until Sunday 21st December, head to Warton Cricket Club for The SEND Den’s Winter Wonderland Grotto. Their grotto has been designed to be inclusive and SEND-friendly, with lots of activities that are perfect for children of all ages and abilities: making cookies and reindeer food, storytime with Santa, a special gift for every child and sensory play.
Visit Greenlands Farm Village for a wide range of Christmas activities, including meeting Santa and receiving a gift before the 25th, a winter wonderland walkthrough, biscuit decorating, making your own Christmas craft and reindeer food to take home, traditional market stalls and more!
Cuerden Place, Clayton-le-Woods & Jubilee Gardens, Euxton
Santa will be at Astley Hall, Chorley, every weekend, until Sunday 21st December. Ticket price also includes entry to the Hall to view the festive decorations around the ground floor. Relaxed sessions in the Great Hall are available, which will have reduced noise and increased lighting.
In Chorley town centre, there’s a Winter Wonderland from Saturday 13th December until Sunday 4th January, with an ice rink, festive tipis and children's rides.
Ingol, The Green
Father Christmas can easily be found in Preston this month, including various shopping centres and even on a steam train!
If you’re looking for a gift for others (or yourself), Preston has multiple festive markets throughout December, as well as an ice rink underneath Preston Market’s 150-year-old canopy with festive refreshments available.
Levens View, Ulverston
Every Saturday in December before Christmas, Santa will be at Ulverston Market Hall where children can receive a special gift.
On 13th and 14th December, Ford Park will be transformed into a winter wonderland. There’ll be twinkling lights, Santa’s sleigh for a perfect photo, the opportunity to write letters to Santa in the Elves’ Workshop, and meeting Santa himself with a gift. The adventure then continues with a festive reindeer trail.
Waddicar Rise, Melling
At Mere Sands Wood Nature Reserve, children can enjoy a delicious hot chocolate and fresh cookie and a special chat with Father Christmas.
Until Christmas Eve, head to Orrell Hill Woods for an enchanting forest light trail and to meet Santa’s reindeer. After the trail, you’ll arrive at Merrywood Market, where you’ll be greeted with warmth, shelter and Christmas cheer. For an even more magical experience, in addition to the forest trail, children can help Santa’s elves get Santa’s sleigh ready and (if they’re on the nice list!), meet Santa. SEN-accessible sessions are available on Sundays from 08:30 until 10:30.
