The HBF have just published their latest report ‘Watt a Save’ which shows the potential cost saving and energy efficiency benefits of new build homes.

• New build homes emit 61% less carbon a year than older properties.
• 85% of new builds have an A or B EPC rating.
• New build homes require 57% less energy than older properties.
• Owning a new build can cut a consumer’s energy bills by up to £183 a month.
• New homes built after June 2023 use just 31% of the energy the average existing property uses.
