Land & Planning Manager

 

The Role

 

Rowland Homes, a successful and privately owned family business based in Lancashire, is seeking an experienced Land & Planning Manager – with opportunity for quick progression, to help drive the continued growth of the company to reach our target of 500 units a year. Rowland is committed to delivering high-quality residential developments across the North West.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute and strategically minded individual with a proven track record in land acquisition and planning management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Proactively identify and secure strategic land opportunities to support a robust medium- and long-term development pipeline
• Lead negotiations with landowners and agents to secure land acquisitions
• Negotiate legal agreements and contracts with landowners and stakeholders
• Coordinate input from internal Land, Technical, and Commercial teams to develop and progress proposals
• Lead pre-application discussions and manage relationships with Local Planning Authorities
• Oversee the preparation and submission of planning applications and drive them through to determination

 

The Ideal Candidate:

 

• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proven experience managing complex planning applications
• Demonstrable track record of delivering projects to meet or exceed company targets
• A collaborative approach and excellent communication skills
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and residential development
