Assistant Site Manager opportunity

Ulverston and Lancaster area, North West England

The Role

We have opportunities for Assistant Site Managers to join our team at our Levens View development in Ulverston and developments in the Lancaster area.

As an Assistant Site Manager, you will assist the Site Manager to ensure our houses are built to programme, current NHBC building standards and to the current Build Regulations.

In more detail, the role consists of, assisting the site manager to ensure: -

  • Build programmes are regularly reviewed to ensure completion dates are achieved
  • Particular focus for taking the plots through from pre-plaster to CML, including the ordering materials and management of labour
  • Ensure that the houses are built to a high quality and adhere the NHBC guidelines and build regulations
  • Manage all staff on site to ensure waste is kept to a minimum
  • Attend regular meetings with the sub-contractors
  • Respond to queries from the trades and respond in a timely manner
  • Weekly meetings with the sales teams to discuss site progression
  • Ensure compliance with our Companies Health and Safety policies and procedures and that trades are using the correct PPE
  • Ensure that all trades and visitors to site are currently inducted

About you

Required qualifications

  • Experience working on new house build construction
  • Valid SMSTS certificate
  • Valid First Aid at Work certificate
  • Scaffold training
  • Working at height training
  • Great communication skills
  • Full driving licence and your own vehicle
  • Must be able to problem solve not also not be afraid to ask for assistance if required

Desirable qualification

  • PASMA training
  • A good working knowledge of the basics of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Level 4 CIOB
  • Manual handling training
