There's no place like a new home

Moving into a new build is like moving into a blank canvas. No-one has been in your home before, no-one has cooked in your kitchen, and not a soul has planted a seed in your garden.

There are lots of superstitions over moving into a new property and one of them includes the act of stepping over the threshold of your new home for the first time.

It’s said that when you arrive at your new home for the first time, make sure you enter through the main door. And the very first time you need to go out, make sure you exit by the same door. Apparently you will never settle in your new home unless you perform this ritual.

And then there's the symbolical items to accompany you when entering your new home for the first time. Bread, salt, honey, wine, rice and candles symbolise abundance, prosperity, happiness, hospitality, and good fortune and are believed to please the domestic spirits and bring a blessing to your new home.

Making the decision to move into a new home has to be based on much more than age old superstitions – it’s based on the needs of your family, the location of the home and, of course, the look, specification and build of your property.

At Rowland, all our homes are built with the needs of today’s modern family in mind. Our specifications are carefully chosen for quality, practicality and of course aesthetics meeting the demands of modern household requirements.

Our new homes are fitted with an array of quality modern fixtures and fittings as standard – and not as added extras once you've agreed the price.

Contemporary satinwood internal doors with Carlisle Brass polished chrome door furniture and polished chrome switches and sockets are provided throughout our properties. Gas fired central heating and hot water is provided by BAXI Potterton systems and we have significantly reduced water wastage by installing cisterns and showers that efficiently reduce flow rates.

For the hub of the home, there are a choice of Rowland kitchens to choose from ranging from a contemporary styling to a more traditional finish. Zanussi appliances are fitted as standard with a stainless steel single fan oven, stainless steel 4 ring gas hob, stainless steel chimney hood and polished chrome downlights.

Our bathrooms come complete with Roca sanitaryware and Hansgrohe taps to hand basins and baths. All our homebuyers have a choice of ceramic tiles to choose from to ensure that they can inject their own stamp and design into their new home.

Choice of finishes are subject to build stage of the home.
