Rowland Homes donate £500 to help restock library at local school

Children in School Library

Back in 2019 Grappenhall Heys Community Primary School completed work on their brand new library and learning space, to promote reading and help to inspire budding authors. It was now time to refresh their stock of books to further progress their library project.

Amy Knowles a teacher at Grappenhall Heys Community Primary School says, “Reading is such an important skill for children to learn so we were very pleased to receive the generous donation from Rowland Homes, it will enable us to purchase some new books to replenish the library and fill the space with some new exciting ones.”

Sales Executive Deborah from Rowland visited to present their donation of £500 towards the books and were shown around the library by some of the pupils, who couldn’t wait to read the new books that will be purchased.

Deborah said, “At Rowland we feel it’s very important to support the local communities in which we build, and when we heard about this project we were delighted to take part. The library is such a beautiful space and we hope that the new books really enrich the pupils learning.”
