We are super passionate about supporting young talent at Rowland and Olympic Karate hopeful Rachel Traverse has just returned from her second trip competing internationally.

She journeyed to Sochi in Russia to take part in the under 21’s European Championships early last month where she stayed and trained in the Olympic Village.

Competing there was an amazing experience and she has now firmly set her sights on competing in the Youth Olympics. This dedication to training and increasing her points will take a huge amount of commitment and dedication and we are behind her every step of the way.

With the amazing support of her family, Rachel trains in London on set weekends with the England team. Next stop will be Bulgaria in May and then Croatia where, if she achieves gold or silver spots in the competitions, she will automatically qualify for the Youth Olympics.
