It’s said that when you arrive at your new home for the first time, make sure you enter through the main door. And the very first time you need to go out, make sure you exit by the same door. Apparently you will never settle in your new home unless you perform this ritual.

And then there's the symbolical items to accompany you when entering your new home for the first time. Bread, salt, honey, wine, rice and candles symbolise abundance, prosperity, happiness, hospitality, and good fortune and are believed to please the domestic spirits and bring a blessing to your new home.
