ROWLAND has appointed Gill Richardson as sales manager to help achieve increased completion targets.
Year on year expansion has seen a continual swell of financial success for Rowland, from 31 completed units and a £2 million turnover in 1997 to a predicted 300 units and £60 million turnover this financial year.
With a growing portfolio of sites, the North West developer required an experienced manager to streamline the buying process, increasing efficiency in reservation to completion timescales.
Capitalisation of leads and maintaining standards in site presentation are other priorities for Richardson, who has a 16-year track record in sales and joins Rowland from Elite.
Commenting on her appointment, Richardson said: “Rowland has achieved dramatic growth over the past five years and is not content to stand still. I have the opportunity to actively contribute to its future success in what is currently a challenging climate.
“The role requires planning and persistence to maximise the performance of sales staff and achieve results across an increasing number of live sites. I will utilise my experience to evaluate and enhance the buying procedure, with the overall aim of ensuring Rowland’s targets are achieved, if not bettered.”
Established in 1993, Lancashire based Rowland has succeeded in accomplishing the difficult transition from small local business to major regional player, having completed more than 70 developments across the North West.
It has ten current live sites in Wirral, Manchester, Bolton, Chorley, Stockport, Rochdale, Widnes and Mossley, with further new developments in Liverpool, Leyland and Southport coming on stream later in 2008.
Rowland’s founder and managing director, Paul Rowley, said: “Gill is a self starter with determination and ambition, qualities we like to foster at Rowland. She has the right attitude and the experience required to meet the challenges of the role head on – and succeed.”
