BIRTHDAY BOOST FOR AWARD-WINNING ROWLAND

BIRTHDAY BOOST FOR AWARD-WINNING ROWLAND
Lancashire developer Rowland is celebrating its 15th anniversary as a Daily Telegraph Your New Home Award winner.

The Leyland based company picked up Best Luxury Development for the second year running, beating strong competition from national rivals including Octagon.

The highly regarded Daily Telegraph Your New Home awards celebrate the best in building design and quality and attract entries from small, medium and volume housebuilders across the UK.

Heaton Grange, on Chorley New Road in Heaton, Bolton was commended for its overall standards of excellence.

Judges commented: “Heaton Grange comprises a winning collection of 11 bespoke, five and six bedroom detached luxury homes that impressed at all levels. Combining Arts and Craft inspired craftsmanship and period detail with layouts and specification perfectly attuned to 21st Century lifestyles, the feel was sumptuous, the finished product exceptional, and the final result all you would expect from a luxury home - and more.”

Rowland previously won the category for its waterside apartment venture Fairlawns in Lytham, adding Best Apartment for the same development in the What House awards just months later.

The latest achievement is a timely reminder of Rowland’s on-going track record of success as the company enters its 15th year of trading. It also highlights the company’s strengthening position as a market leader in bespoke developments.

While Rowland has been singled out for praise for its bespoke schemes, the company’s core business has been built around a high quality standard product range that is continually developing and improving.

Established in 1993 by Leyland born bricklayer Paul Rowley, Rowland’s story is one of inspiration, determination and vision.

The company has grown from a local business developing across Lancashire and the Fylde Coast, to a major regional employer operating throughout the North West.

Managing Director Paul, a triple winner of Entrepreneur magazine’s Property Entrepreneur of the Year, said: “Awards are a fantastic external endorsement of the day to day hard work of every single person in this company. They are the culmination of teamwork, dedication and sheer hard work to ensure every Rowland development is one built with integrity, pride and the highest craftsmanship.

“I’m extremely proud of our track record of success in recent awards. It’s a significant achievement to not only compete on a level playing field with established national developers, but to come out on top. This latest honour has given staff a tremendous boost as we enter our 15th year in business and reminds us all that with the right attitude and the right people, anything can be achieved.”

Rowland employs more than 35 staff at its headquarters Farington House and is currently responsible for ten live developments in Chorley, Widnes, Stockport, Mossley, Manchester, Wirral, Bolton and Rochdale.

New sites in Liverpool, Knowsley, Leyland and Southport will come on stream later in 2008.

The company has now completed more than 70 developments to date.

Year on year expansion has seen a continual swell of financial success for Rowland, from 31 completed units and a £2 million turnover in 1997 to a predicted 300 units and £60 million turnover this financial year.

Paul Rowley continues to lead from the top as Rowland’s inspirational figurehead, steering the business with a single-minded vision to remain true to Rowland’s core ethos of building quality homes to suit location.
